Hit and run victim
Donation protected
On July 30, 2019, our dad, grandpa, and great grandpa, Isaac Goodin, was in a terrible accident. He was the victim of a hit and run. He was out driving his cart and horse in crooked river ranch, on quail rd getting ready to turn back into his driveway when a person driving by hit him in the back and sent him flying. The person then continued driving. Luckily a neighbor had saw the whole thing and ran to his rescue while on the phone with the police. The neighbors and police helped both the horse and Isaac. Isaac was sent to the hospital with multiple injury’s. While the horse escaped with just a scraped knee, the cart and harness however, is a total loss.
Isaacs injury’s will have him remaining in the hospital for a minimum of a week with an extensive recovery time at home. We are asking for enough to help pay for constant transportation between Crooked River and Bend, as well as helping with whatever remaining medical bills may be needed, and help with the horses feeding as well any vet bills that maybe needed.
Isaac is a loving and caring man. He has lent a helping hand to all those in need and an ear to anyone who as needed it. Isaac has been a part of the crooked river ranch community for over 20 years. He and his wife, Jeani, moved to crooked river ranch in 1999. Jeani worked at the St. Charles hospital in Redmond, OR until she retired in 2017. Isaac worked for the crooked river ranch road department until he had to stop due to knee issues. He has done a lot for crooked river ranch. In 2004, he did some horse logging down in the pit to be able to preserve the vegetation. You can always see him driving his carts down quail rd.
Anything you can donate would be greatly appreciated. If you can’t donate, fill free to share so as somebody else maybe able to.
