Emergency Housing Assistance

Hey, yall. Chelsea here. First off, I’d like to say how this feels like such a stretch & I am absolutely humiliated to even be creating this, so please forgive me if I’m unable to dress this up with pretty verbiage as I write.

In December I was finally able to get my very own (and very first) apartment with MY name attached to it. I was over the moon. I slept on the floor for awhile then upgraded to an air mattress, but knowing I was sleeping in my own place that I worked SO hard for was rewarding enough. I was able to get my children’s room set up & a bed with a slide (at their request) and man, it felt so good.

Fast forward to this past month: I unexpectedly lost my job serving/bartending. The entire restaurant was shut down (currently under an internal investigation) and all I received was an email and no response to my inquiries about my paycheck, documentation for unemployment, etc. in fact, the owner blocked my number. It’s nearing the end of April and I cannot afford my rent.

If you have it to spare & are in a donating mood, I’d be more than appreciative. My rent is $950. I have multiple interviews coming up, and I’m doing a few side gigs for my phone bill (electric/water + wifi already paid).

A list will be compiled as donations come in, and if I am unsuccessful in my goal, I will return the money to each donor. If the goal is met, each donor will receive a copy of my receipt upon payment. Rent is due no later than May 5th!!
