Mom Visits! Supporting my parents in this difficult time.

As you know, my mom is very sick and has undergone intense surgeries over the past month. This all happened very fast with little to no time to plan and save. Mom is currently in ICU for the next 2-3 weeks followed by more time in the hospital as she heals before another surgery, and then chemo to follow, eventually.

I would like to maintain my visits to my Mom, but need a way to supplement my income when I’m gone. Both mine and Uzi’s income are required to keep us afloat here in California with 2 kids, and getting a low interest loan is not easy at this time we are finding out. I need to act fast and ask for help at this time.

My visits support my Mom and my Dad and being an only child I just need to figure out how to make it happen. When I’m at the hospital. I read to Mom, I care for her spirit and her body. I nurture her with hugs and kisses and touch and funny Grandkid stories, and whatever she needs. I support my Dad with communication and hospital stuff and basic needs, as well.

The problem is between visits I’m having to cram in a bunch of work to cover the costs, and I’m losing too much energy to be helpful to my parents, my kids and myself. My Dad is on a fixed income and has large deductibles to meet from all the ER visits prior to this last surgery.
