BMA Naas Kickathon - Helping the Homeless
Donation protected
Help support BMA Naas in their efforts to raise cash and awareness for two great causes both at home and abroad. The club will host a kick-a-thon challenge whereby members will collectively achieve 100,000 recorded kicks in just one day. This grueling feat of endurance is all in aid of two amazing charities with all proceeds from the event going towards helping needy families in Ireland and Brazil.
Feed Our Homeless was established in January 2017 by Tony Walsh and Natasha Morgan. The organisation is dedicated to making a difference to the lives of people who are affected by homelessness and those who are marginalised in society. With lived experiences of poverty, homelessness and addiction, Tony and Natasha understand the daily struggles people can face. The original name chosen, Feed Our Homeless, is arguably narrowly focused and a range of services is currently provided.
When our Coach, Séamus visited Brazil last year he saw first hand the unbelievable work being carried out there by Mara and Nelson and others in the Good Hands charity (Projeto Mãos do Bem). This small NGO based in the town of Iguape, two hours outside of Sao Paolo, collects, cooks and delivers food and food packages to struggling families in need.
