Hope after the storm

My parents, Randy and Ann Wheeler, and my sister Kristin would never ask for this. But we waited until the last minute to see what the insurance company would do, and unfortunately, they will not cover the majority of what was lost.
I’m reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for help for two of the most selfless and hardworking people I know—my parents.
On Sunday night, April 6th, our family experienced something no one ever truly prepares for—a sudden and severe flood that swept through my parents’ home in Lake Forest Subdivision, Daphne, Alabama. With almost 6ft of water blowing doors out of their frames, in a matter of hours, a lifetime of memories, essentials, and treasured belongings were either damaged beyond repair or completely lost.
They’ve always been the kind of people to give without asking for anything in return—supporting family, friends, and neighbors through tough times with open arms. But now, they’re the ones in need. Both currently retired.
This fundraiser is to help them get back on their feet. Funds will go toward replacing furniture, clothing, appliances, and repairing what little is salvageable. Every contribution—no matter the size—means the world to us and brings them one step closer to rebuilding their home and their peace of mind.
If you’re unable to donate, sharing this with others would still mean so much. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your kindness, support, and prayers during this incredibly difficult time.
With love and gratitude, Brandon Wheeler
