Funeral Trip To Cambodia
Donation protected
Hello Neighbors,
I received a heartfelt concern regarding one of our local business owners-Manley's Donuts. I wanted to share her message with my neighbors, and see if we can support the father with transportation costs to and from Cambodia. The family can't afford the trip to Cambodia, but with the help of the community, hopefully we can send him on his way back home, to say his final good-bye to his beloved mother, who recently passed away.
Thank you for your support,
Loretta McNatt
Willow Glen Wishes
From Leah Brady-
Hello,
I'm sending a message for a possible need of the owners of Manley's Donuts in Willow Glen. He looked very down today, and we asked if he was ok. He said that he was ok, but his wife said he isn't. His mother passed away and he can't afford to go to Cambodia to the funeral. They are such a sweet family with two children who are often in the shop with them. They have a crib in the back for the baby , and a walker for him in the kitchen. Their daughter is in school, but is always in the shop in the weekends. They are such a sweet family and really add to the charm of Willow Glen. They didn't ask for help, and I didn't mention anything to them. I just thought it was worth asking if there is anything we can do for them. I asked if they are ever able to take a day off. They said they can't . Her sister has helped now and then, but they have no one who could run the shop for them , or take any time off. Thanks for any ideas you have.
