I, Jessica C, am earning (goal $500) and taking a crack at raising a fund to pay for a used engine. :/ It is for the 2005 Suzuki Forenza. 117k miles. It gets me to and from work every day, so I must fix her. A rod has popped loose inside the engine. The mechanic purchases the engine and does the labor. Est. $2K! Eek. Still "in the black" with bills paid, but no extra money, aside from what I will work to earn, to pay in full, or in a small number of payments. My 30th Birthday is coming up, so if anyone gives me birthday money...it goes to the engine as well. :) Replacing the motor is the most logical decision, I believe, due to recommendations from mechanics, and friendly advice. A used car for 2 k would not run nearly as we'll as a low-miles used engine. The shop will let me pay for it, as long as they get to keep it. Don @ Luu's Auto has it as of today, 8/13/2013. my lucky day! :) So its alternate transportation until then. :D Yay, friends, metros, and busses! Whatever you can contribute, even if its a penny, is so valuable to me, and I appreciate the thoughtfulness and help from you. <3 ***** I guess you could say I am doing my best to remain calm and have faith and trust that everything will be ok. It's wonderful that something like this website even exists!!
