Remi Harris and Pearl Marasigan, (that's us!) are co-directors and co-choreographers of HalloHallo. Along with Banana Peel Dance, we're putting together a fantastic full-length evening show at New York City's Third Street Music School.
On October 25th, HalloHallo will be part of a wonderful year-long, artist series held at Third Street. Fortunately, through the creative process of choreography and through performing, we are able to do what we love and dance! This great performance opportunity does entaill: paying our current 8 dancers (about $500 total), buying and creating costumes and props ($200), and paying for weekly rehearsals ($300). That's a lot of money for starving artists! Our company can be described as: multi-disciplinary, dance driven and theatrical, serious or fun and always from the heart. As performers, we both do modern, hip hop, contemporary and ballet, so all these styles inform our work and enrich the experience that the audience receives.
We both graduated from Hofstra in 2005, and since then, have been steadily working with musicians, artists, film makers and dancing for different companies. We are passionate about our work and we need your help to take HalloHallo to the next step! It would mean so much to us, the ever hustling dancers if we could get some support from friends, family, and the wonderful public. We believe that everyone has the capacity to dance and enjoy the art of movement, so why not help us share the joy of dance!
