Dear Friends, Supporters, and Compassionate Individuals,
I write to you today with a heavy heart and a desperate plea for assistance. My name is Mohannad Abu Zubaida, and I am reaching out on behalf of my beloved family: my wife, Abeer, and our precious children, Tamim, Mariana, and Asil.
For the past eight years, we have poured our hearts, sweat, and resources into building a home—a sanctuary where we could raise our children in peace and security. However, our dreams have been shattered by the cruel hands of conflict. Our home, our refuge, has been destroyed, reduced to rubble in a matter of moments.
Compounding our tragedy, I have faced physical challenges my entire life, with the left side of my body disabled since birth. This disability renders me unable to relocate my family away from the perilous dangers that surround us.
The horror we endure, here in Gaza, extends beyond the destruction of our home. We have stared death in the face on three separate occasions, narrowly escaping with our lives. Tragically, my daughter Mariana has already suffered injuries in these harrowing experiences. Every moment we spend in our current environment feels like a gamble—a gamble we cannot afford to lose.
We are not soldiers, nor do we have any stake in the conflicts that ravage our homeland. All we desire is the chance to live in safety and peace, to shield our children from the horrors of war, and to nurture their dreams for a brighter future.
That is why we turn to you, with humility and hope. We seek your support, your compassion, and your generosity. Our only wish is to rebuild our dreams after the war.
Please, if you find it in your heart to help us, know that your contribution will not only save lives but also preserve the hopes and dreams of a family yearning for safety and security. No amount is too small, and every gesture of kindness brings us closer to the safety we so desperately seek.
In this time of uncertainty and strife, let us stand together, united in our humanity, and extend a lifeline to those in need. Together, we can make a difference, offering solace to those who have known only suffering and sanctuary to those who have been displaced by conflict.
Thank you for considering our plea, and may kindness guide your actions.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Mohannad Abu Zubaida
