Christa Kay Kicking Cancer Out Fund
Donation protected
My name is Stacy Mott and in November 2016 my sister, Christa Kay, found a cyst in her abdomen. The doctor removed it and tested it twice. He confirmed that it was cancer. We couldn't believe it. After more testing and scans, they decided to open her up in February and remove all the cancer cells they could find. They ended up removing 6 organs and doing a partial resection on another two. They continued doing tests and scans but the pathology is not indicating the primary source of the cancer. She met with more doctors and they decided to do HIPEC surgery in May. This is where they go in and remove cancer cells and then put heated chemo right into the abdomen. She was in surgery for about 20 hours. They removed cancer from every part of her midsection and a tumor off her diaphragm. She recovered really well and was home in five days. She has two precious children, age 4 and 18 months. We recently found out she has to do 12 rounds of chemo over the next six months. Needless to say, it's been a long six months and it looks like we may have a long road ahead of us. Please donate if you can.
