The River Island Wholesale Ten Store Big Walk

Our River Island Wholesale Team have planned a ten store walk consisting of 30 miles around London to raise money for Cancer Research.

We want to support anyone affected by cancer, including our Islander family.

Sarah’s story

In October 2023 I was told the news that I had Breast Cancer. In that moment, our lives changed. Test after test, needle after needle, consultation after consultation it was confirmed that my treatment journey would begin with Chemotherapy.

With such a high risk of hair loss the advice I was given was to cut my hair shorter before it all started. For anyone who knows me my hair is me.

All I’ve thought as I’ve gone through this, as a fit and healthy 37-year-old, is thank goodness it’s me and not one of my boys. A child should never have to go through any type of cancer.

So, as I cut my hair off, I thought I’d raise some money for the Little Princess Trust and hope that my hair can be used to create a beautiful wig to give a child their confidence back.
