Help Kit Beat Cancer

On October 15th Kit called me from work and told me to meet him at the emergency room at St. Vincent East. Over the weekend Kit told me he was having pain under his left rib cage that would come and go but Monday morning it just kept getting worse so he went to the emergency room and I meet him there. They took blood and did an X-ray of his stomach then did a Cat scan. About an hour later the ER doctor came in and told us he saw a mass on his colon and two spots on his liver and he had a very bad infection in his stomach wall which was causing the pain. At this point my stomach twisted in knots but I was trying to be strong for my husband. They admitted him to the hospital that night and the next morning they came to take him down to do a biopsy of his liver. They told us it would be a couple of days before the results came in. Then Thursday afternoon the oncologist came in and said four words that would change our life forever “ you have colon cancer “. Colon cancer and it is stage 4 because it had spread to his liver. Kit hasn’t been able to go back to work yet and his company was very understanding and had been paying him his salary until this past Friday November 31st. We got a letter saying he could take an unpaid leave of absence. With Christmas coming up and bills that need paying we are in a bind. We would appreciate any help we can get even if it just prayers. I don’t want Kit to be anymore stressed than he already is so I am asking for help. Kit is the most amazing husband and father to our two girls.
