4 Corners Diner Temporarily Closed due to Fire

Hello, my name is John Hotter , and I am raising funds for 4 Corners Diner in Romeo, MI. All funds will be sent directly to Rob and Marty, the owners of 4 Corners, not to me. They need our help!

On Thursday,August 18th, 2022 there was a fire at 4 Corners Diner. Fortunately, this happened while no one was there and no one was injured. However, due to the extensive damage, the diner will be forced to remain closed for an minimum of 1 month, per the restoration company.

Anyone who’s familiar with the location of 4 Corners Diner knows that prior to Marty and Rob opening their beloved restaurant in the heart of downtown Romeo, likely remembers the endless list of restaurants that were not able to stay open at this same location. The reason the 4 Corners has stayed open and been successful is surely not because of the delicious, homemade food. It is because of the people. I am not aware of anyone who has cared more and done more for the community, every time there has been a need. Often times, 4 Corners has done so many things for our community, behind the scenes with few even knowing about it. Romeo is extremely fortunate to have the good people of 4 Corners Diner at the heart of our community. They’ve done so much for so many, when help was needed most. That’s on top of the way that they treat everyone who enters the restaurant like family, literally, even on their most difficult days. And the delicious food really is amazing!

The timing for the fire damage couldn’t be worse. For any restaurant to survive the past few years is a remarkable accomplishment. As we know, many businesses did not survive the Covid-19 era, and restaurants were hit especially hard. In recent months, food costs and continued staff shortages have skyrocketed, making it even more difficult. The busiest time of year for 4 Corners Diner, by far, is during the Romeo Peach Festival, which is the first week of September, and 4 Corners Diner will not be open this year. In talking with Marty and Rob, they are already working very hard to come up with creative ideas to do what they can to help their business that we love so much survive this time. However, Marty, Rob and the AMAZING staff at 4 Corners need our help!!
