Meet Anita: Breast Cancer Warrior
Donation protected
This is my friend Anita of more than 25 years.
No words can describe what a wonderful, caring and giving person Anita is. Unfortunately her entire world changed in March of this year when she was diagnosed with breast cancer.
She accepted her diagnosis courageously and started treatment right away. She immediately underwent a mastectomy, an has undergone 2 rounds of chemo, but has many more ahead of her and that will be followed by radiation.
Anita is a 20 year veteran of the Army National Guard, retiring as an E5 Sgt., but is not age-eligible for retirement benefits. Not only did she serve her country, but through her position at the VFW was able to support numerous charities over the years from Boy Scouts to a variety of Cancer foundations.
Her job as Bar Manager at the VFW of 27 years is now impossible for her to do, and she is not age-eligible for her retirement benefits, so she is now left with no income at all.
Anita's immediate family have been very generous since she stopped working in March, but she needs help right now with basic living expenses, such as her rent, car insurance, and utilities. Please consider helping Anita by making a donation today!
