Step Up For Scarlett
Scarlett is a eight year old girl with cerebral palsy (CP) who lives in Cork. Scarlett will be traveling to St Louis, Missouri, USA in July 2017 for a surgery called selective dorsal rhizotomy (SDR). Scarlett will be in the hospital recovering for one week after the surgery and will then have 3 weeks of physiotherapy.
Once we return home to Cork she faces 2/3 years of intense physiotherapy but this won't end there - she will need physio for the rest of her life.
The money we are hoping to raise online will go towards her physiotherapy costs - thanks to family and friends and lots of hard work over the past couple of years we have managed to raise just enough to cover the cost of the surgery but regular post-SDR physio is required for the best outcome for Scarlett, in the hope that she will be able to gain more independence, and may one day be able to take her first steps unaided.
Thank you for your donations.
