Reaching Out For Help
After dealing with mental health issues, I lost my well-paying job a year ago. Conseqantly, as the sole bread winner of our family of four, I am struggling to make ends meet. My wife has been an amazing stay-at-home mommy for the last 8 years, but is having difficulty reentering into the workforce. As our savings has dried up, and not earning enough as a mail carrier for the USPS, our finances are beginning to stack up. I've tried talking to banks and creditors, attempting to consolidate or refinance loans; however, due to my severe cut in pay, it pushed our debt to income ratio far out of balance. They refused to help in any way. Asking for help, let alone money, is the hardest thing for me to do. I'm a disable veteran, and our family is a self-sustaining unit. However, I will do whatever it takes to help my family, especially my two amazing daughters. I know I'm asking for a lot, but anything will help.
