Who

Live Learn Survive's Charity Directors Maxi and Leigh are up for the challenge.

Maxi will be running 2 full 42klm marathons in May, one in Sydney and the other one in Brisbane. Leigh will be swimming 42 klms throughout the month of May.

What/Why

The challenge is being done to bring awareness to the approximately 42 people that drown EVERY HOUR of EVERY DAY around the world and to support programs and awareness of water safety.

About our '42 for 42' May Preventable Drowning Challenge.

'42 for 42' May Preventable Drowning Challenge is to help raise awareness of the statistic of drowning. The aim is also to get more people educated about water safety and reduce the number of preventable drownings. It is also to help empower children and young adults with education and saving lives through water safety, fire safety as well as first aid.

About Live Learn Survive

Trent Maxwell or ‘Lifeguard Maxi’, as he is more commonly known, is the youngest ever Professional Lifeguard to work at Australia’s world-famous Bondi Beach.

In 2018 Maxi founded Live Learn Survive’ with business partner Leigh Mason with a vision to teaching lifesaving skills to children and young adults.

Maxi and Leigh travel regularly with Live Learn Survive school-based program. Since 2018 they have travelled and met face to face with over 26,000 children in 6 countries across 3 continents educating them about water safety.

Maxi and Leigh have created an award-winning set of children's books, have a podcast and now have founded their own Live Learn Survive charity, all to support water safety, fire safety and first aid education.

It is Live Learn Survive's vision is for every child and young adult, no matter their background or location, to have access to education on water safety, fire safety and first aid.
