Giving Chris Essex the send off he deserves

We were all absolutely devastated to learn that the wonderful Chris Essex has
passed away after a short, tough battle with cancer. 

He was a wonderful friend and colleague to so many of us, but most importantly
an incredible dad to Grace and Jack and loving partner to Sarah.

It's been a tough old year for everyone with lockdown, particularly within
hospitality, so the last thing any of us want for Sarah and the kids at this time is to be worried about funeral expenses and household bills. 

It would be incredible if we could take that horrible pressure off this amazing family's
shoulders and between us chip in enough to cover this. 

We send all of our love and best wishes to Sarah, Grace, Jack, Allan and family at
this sad time Xx

For clarity (and as asked by GoFundMe), I am just letting you all know that I have set this up as a friend and colleague of Chris.
We (his friends at Thomas Carr 1873) made a promise to him that we would do everything we could for his family after he had left us, and whilst we can't wave a magic wand, we hope this will help take some of the strain off them at this awful time.

All funds will be withdrawn and transferred straight to Sarah to help cover the costs of the funeral and other expenses related to Chris's 
passing, with any additional funds left over going towards household bills and utilities whilst Sarah, Jack and Grace spend the next few
months trying to work out what their life without that wonderful man will be like without having to worry about day-to-day finances.
