In memory of my Dad, Tom, Who passed from Pulmonary Fibrosis
Do you want to join me in making a difference? I'm raising money in aid of The Irish Lung Fibrosis Association and every donation will help. Thank you in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to me.
Pulmonary Fibrosis is a progressive disease in which the lungs become scarred making it difficult to breath and in IPF (Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis) the only cure is lung transplant.
My Dad, Tom Pender, passed away on 30th April 2024 after a battle with Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis. He fought very bravely till his last breath, at 71 years of age, he was still working full time and getting the best out of life, until being admitted to the hospital, where he spent 3 weeks before passing away.
While Pulmonary Fibrosis is a terminal condition, with lung transplant being the only cure, there are only two medications approved for the treatment of Pulmonary Fibrosis, research is ongoing to find more medication to treat the condition.
Irish Lung Fibrosis helps raise awareness of this disease and any donations that you can make will go towards helping them to help Pulmonary Fibrosis suffers and raise awareness.
I'm including a link to the IFLA we're you can read about Pulmonary Fibrosis and also what they do
