We are at the hands of our supporter’s mercy!
Today, it took a village!
Friends Furever Animal Rescue was contacted today by a good Samaritan who was duck hunting in the Murtagh (Idaho) area and came across this sweet 4–5-year-old lab cross sitting in a canal. Pachina Waite, a family member of the finder, could tell he was in immediate need of veterinary help, so she rushed him to Healing Hands Emergency Vet in Twin Falls. Upon first exam it was decided he had been stabbed or possibly shot by a practice arrow in the chest. The vet got him stabilized, but then his lungs started filling with fluid since he was pneumothorax and he needed to get to a specialist to save his life. He is, as we write, being taken by angelic volunteers Barbara Porter and Staci Jensen to West Vet in Boise, Idaho where he will have surgery to save his precious life. Surgery cost is estimated at $6000-$8000. If you can, please help us save him.
We are so blessed by all our supporters! We and the fur kids we help all thank you with all our hearts.
As you are with your loved ones on this Sunday, October 17th, please keep Rusty (his fitting name), all the good Samaritans, volunteers, and those that are in need of help in your thoughts and prayers.
