The Ruth Acty Elementary 4th grade team is very excited to announce that our students will be attending Camp Arroyo this year. This adventure will mark our 10th year of participation at this incredible outdoor school. Camp Arroyo will host our students April 29th - May 1st. This will be a 2-night, 3-day learning experience.
Located in the rolling hills of Livermore, Camp Arroyo is a science-based outdoor school designed to foster critical thinking about the environment and help students develop creative solutions to issues that they will encounter throughout their lifetime. Through a series of fun, hands-on activities, the students will increase their understanding of and respect for the environment and each other. Camp Arroyo not only helps produce the next generation of environmental stewards but also fosters community leaders.
The total cost of this program is approximately $20,000 for our three classes! Sharing our GoFundMe with family, friends, and colleagues will get us one step closer to providing this unforgettable experience to all our 4th graders. For the families who are not able to contribute at the moment, we will need some assistance. Note about the fundraiser: Although the Ruth Acty PTA is helping us collect the money, the funds will be used only for the 4th Grade Camping Trip.
