Cecilia's Colon Cancer Fight Fund
At the age of 31, Cecilia has been diagnosed with StageVI Colon Cancer. 90% of colorectal cancers occur in people older than 50. Because of this statistic, the cancer was not detected until the later stages -- and even then it took time for doctors to come up with a definitive diagnosis. With the news of the cancer, Cecilia also received word that the cancer had spread to her liver which is now 80% covered in tumors.
Cecilia is currently on chemo, and has no options for surgery. Instead, her treatment will continue indefinitely. All the while, Cecilia maintains a positive outlook and is determined to fight.
Cecilia is a wife, daughter, sister, friend and talented artist. She has always been the first one to come to a friend’s aid. After receiving her diagnosis in September of 2015, her exemplary character has shown even brighter. She has radiated positivity and strength -- even when the strongest of us surrounding her have fallen to pieces. Now we want to give back to Cecilia by helping to take some of her financial burdens away so she can truly focus on the battle ahead. Can you help?
The current goal is an estimate of two years of treatment. Currently she is required to pay a $5,500 yearly deductible (not including prescriptions). In addition we’d like to help with:
- Travel to and from Charlotte for her family (who are also acting as her caretakers)
- Transportation to chemo and doctor’s appointments (Cecilia does not drive due to other pre-existing medical conditions)
- Basic costs of living

Thank you so much for your help!
