Study Abroad in Cape Town, South Africa.

My name is Tremaine Cousar, and I am an African American male from Greensboro, North Carolina. I am studying Computer Science at Guilford Technical Community College. I am also a transferring student within the C-Step program, meaning after receiving my associate degree, I will transfer to The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill for computer science. I am currently striving to study abroad in Cape Town, South Africa. With this opportunity to learn overseas, I will get a different perspective on other histories, obstacles, and successes of other black communities worldwide. Few males, especially within my race, get a chance to study aboard, interact and learn from people in other regions. Hence is why I will embrace this opportunity. I will have a chance to ask questions related to my major so that I can develop projects and ideas that can help Cape Town, South Africa, and my hometown to become environmentally and technologically advanced.
