Monument of Totma Crest - Black Fox
Donation protected
Dear Friends,
My work and love of Fort Ross has been a great opportunity to participate in many adventures and share the love of many others who also have passion for their work and efforts. On behalf of the Russian American Society we have started a GoFundMe campaign to support the “Monument of the Totma Crest - the Black Fox”. Totma is a small town in Russia in the Vologda region that is very near and dear to many people who are connected to the Russian history in the Northwest Pacific. Many of us have traveled there and were greeted with open arms. The monument is honoring the history and the many ties to Alaska and California.
We are hoping to raise $5,000 in the next three weeks. This is for a bronze bust of the Black Fox to be placed in Totma. The funds will be used for the professional designer and cost of materials If each of you donated $10 or $20 or $40 we could do this and show our American support to our friends in Russia and if you could possibly donate more we can reach our goal much quicker. Any amount is welcomed. The amount of this campaign will be transferred to the Russian Bank on August 11
From Vladimir Kolychev,
Dear Totma Friends,
This original monument is for you and your children and grandchildren! I have no doubt that this black fox will warm your hearts and your soul. The Black Fox which original was a gift to travelers in the Alaskan Territories became the crest for Totma by order of Catherine the Great. Please donate to our project so that we may honor our explorers then and now.
