45th Slovak Heritage Festival in New Jersey
Donation protected
The Slovak Heritage Festival was founded in 1978. This Autumn, the 45th
Slovak Heritage Festival will take place on September 24th, 2023 at The
Middlesex County Fairgrounds,
655 Cranbury Road, East Brunswick, New Jersey, United States.
The primary goal of the Festival is to preserve the traditions, language
and customs for future generations born here in the United States.
This year, we have invited the well known Folklore Group, Šarišan from Prešov and the singing group FS Litmanivka from Litmanová (district Stara Lubovna), which is a well-known pilgrimage site in Slovakia.
These groups encompass many performers, thus financial assistance
is needed to not only ensure that the performers can come to the US, but help defray
some of the costs of their expenses.
The SHF has continued through the efforts of the many volunteers, and
all costs for the festival come from two sources; funds donated by The
Slovak Government and through the entrance and vendor fees charged.
Costs involved in running the festival include park fees, township
application & amp; permits, stage for performance, tent rental, table & chair
rental, rental of bathroom facilities, marketing & amp; web promotion,
garbage removal and security.
We would be grateful for any help, for any
contribution that will help us make our guest's stay more pleasant, and
help defray some of the costs of the festival. We believe that we can do
this together, by working together for this common cause.
