Tara is a 16 year old who is going to have a 3rd brain surgery. She has a meningioma in her brain that is aggressively growing. They are doing surgery on September 20. This is a very involved surgery in which she is expected to lose her hearing in the left side and could also have other side affects because of the location of the tumor. We won’t know until the surgery is complete. After surgery she will heal for two weeks and then start radiation. Radiation will last 6 weeks and we will have a hotel stay for that time. The surgical team consists of 20 people. There will be a lot of medical bills and also FMLA for time off of work for the after care that she will need. We will update the progress as we go so everyone can follow her journey to getting better.
