Lila is a 10 week old puppy my wife and I got a week ago who has gotten the virus parvo. She is currently in emergency care in Oakville Ontario receiving treatment but medical bills are extremely high. Please help us keep our little girl. Anything helps at all
The staff here at the emergency hospital in Mississauga Oakville have been amazing and are doing everything they can to keep her going we can't thank them enough
The canine parvovirus (CPV) infection is a highly contagious viral illness that affects dogs. The virus manifests itself in two different forms. The more common form is the intestinal form, which is characterized by vomiting, diarrhea, weight loss, and lack of appetite (anorexia). The less common form is the cardiac form, which attacks the heart muscles of very young puppies, often leading to death. The majority of cases are seen in puppies that are between six weeks and six months old.
