This fundraiser is for my mom. She is a self employeed hair stylist in a small town. In the last 6 months she has undergone two major surgeries. She had gallbladder surgery in July and had to miss several weeks of work for the surgery and recovery. Then in November they found cancer in her lungs, so she had to have a portion of a lung removed. So far she has been out of work for 3 weeks and will continue to miss work until she is able to go back.
She and her family depend on her income. With only my dad working - and even he has had to miss work due to my mom's heath issues this year - they're struggling to make ends meet. Even after the insurace paid their portion my parents are left with an overwhelming bill. We are raising money to help cover the cost of living, medical bills, and keep her hair salon open.
