I am Islam Khader from Gaza, 20 years old

The number of members of my family is 10, consisting of my father, my mother, five of my sisters, and two of my brothers, whose ages range from youth to childhood. Our lives were dignified and safe. The walls of our house bear witness to our happiness.

I am a university student studying education

(Basic education) I dreamed of graduating from university, building a bright future, and getting a job despite the lack of job opportunities in the Gaza Strip, but we did not despair.

My father was a hard-working man who spent a lot of time away from us to provide us with what we needed.

My sister Ola, who is the eldest and is 21 years old, has completed three years of her university major and has one year remaining.

My younger sister, Doaa, who is 18 years old, suffers from shingles as a result of air pollution. She has dreamed of studying law and law at university since she finished her school studies.

As for the rest of my sisters, they are school students: Aya, Iman, Khaled, Mahmoud, and our youngest, Sajood, who is seven years old. She did not enroll in school because:

The events of October 7 completely changed the course of life and the war on Gaza began, destroying everything.

The enemy asked us to forcibly move to the south of the Gaza Strip. We left with our bodies and our minds. We remained in our homes. We were very hopeful that our return would take place within a few days, but the wait was long. Nights, days, and months passed, and until now we have been displaced.

Our beautiful house, which was warmed by the tenderness of my mother and the kindness of my father, was partially damaged since the aggression began, and from here there was hope of returning to it, but after the fighting stopped for eight days and resumed, the house was completely destroyed without a trace.

We took shelter on the street sidewalk with a tent made of cloth and wood, less than seven meters in area, and there was no room for all of us to sleep inside.

As for the environment, it is not fit for human living. It is very polluted. Garbage is dumped everywhere due to the lack of fuel needed to operate the municipal station. Drinking water is polluted. Our food is spoiled. Our clothes are torn. We suffer from diseases and we cannot find medicine. I got a disease in my throat and needed an operation and no one helped me. There is no anesthesia or tools necessary to complete the surgical operation. I need to get out of Gaza as soon as possible for the surgical operation to be able to speak and continue with life.

Our lives were completely different. Our streets were clean, our drinking water was clean and deep, we ate wholesome and healthy foods, and we wore the best clothes from international brands. The aggression took away our most basic rights.

We are in need of moral and material assistance to provide us with the necessities of life

Help us and save us to provide us with suitable living conditions, complete our education, and establish our lives again outside the Gaza Strip.
