Raising Baby Clara ❤️

Michelle Zavala, 36, gave birth to beautiful baby Clara with her husband Chris Zavala in Austin, TX on July 18, 2017. Michelle is my first cousin, everyone was excited about the birth of their first child together and couldn't wait to watch her become a mother and Chris a father. Just 8 days after Clara came home, tragedy stuck our family when Michelle felt a sharp pain in her chest and had Chris drive her to the Emergency Room while her parents followed behind. After walking in, Michelle went into cardiac arrest and had suffered a pulmonary embolism that went straight to her heart. Unfortunately, she did not make it home last night. After years of not knowing if she would carry a baby, Clara was truly a miracle baby and arriving 3 weeks early, she proved it to be true once again. Michelle passed away on Wednesday evening, July 26, 2017.As we try to wrap our heads around what has happened, we must prepare to be strong for Chris and Clara. With a newborn, comes the cost of child care, formula, diapers, doctors on top of medical cost and services for Michelle. Please pray that we can find the best plan to support their family at this time and that Clara will always know how much she was loved by her Mom.
