Katies Crusaders a Quality of Life Fight

Katie was diagnosed with the fatal disease called ALS (Lou Gehrig Disease) in 2008. It has taken a vibrant, go anywhere, do anything, beautiful loving and loved person, a mother of 3 and Nana to 7 grandkids and has left her unable to speak, eat, swallow, walk without assistance, write, hold a book, shower, button a blouse, brush her teeth and breathe comfortably without the use of morphine. And that's just a snapshot of a life living with ALS.
When this hits you need help, assistance, counseling, support, a place to call day or night, people to turn to who have gone and are going through this.
Those people are the Joan Dancy and PALS Foundation. Their mission is to support PALS (People with ALS), their families and care
givers. Their support group meetings are PRICELESS. They give me strength, they are our lifeline.
