Lean on Me
Aiden O’Connor from Mike the Pies Bar and Music venue in Listowel came up with an idea of releasing a song to
try and raise money for Aras Mhuire Nursing Home in Listowel so they could purchase PPE for their staff during
the Covid 19 pandemic
He started to contact bands that had played in Mike the Pies and got a fantastic response.
Paul Linehan from the Frank and Walters was one of the first to respond and he offered to produce the song.
We agreed on “Lean on me” by Bill Withers as an appropriate song and we are now releasing it as a single as well
as online with all the proceeds going to Aras Mhuire and other nursing homes around the country.
Involved in the song are
Paul Linehan (The Frank and Walters)
Mal Tuohy (The Riptide Movement)
Ronan Yourell (Delorentos)
Niamh Farrell (HamsandwicH)
Craig Walker (Power of Dreams)
Jerry Fish
Ste Ward (Columbia Mills)

Everything was done from home and we had a group zoom call last Friday including some of the nurses from Aras Mhuire for the video.
We hope that you enjoy the song and can find the time and money to support this very worthy cause.
