Saving Buddha
We are asking for help for our handsome boy Buddha. Buddha is here at the Associated Humane Societies in Tinton Falls NJ. He came in a bubbly, happy boy. He has been with us since May 2021. He was adopted during the pandemic (elsewhere) then surrendered to the Humane Society when his new adopters realized they did not have the time for him any longer. Our staff noticed Buddha was not feeling so well and was diagnosed with kennel cough on June 28th. By July 1st our volunteers and staff noticed Buddha was not keeping food down and he had a drastic loss of weight. Buddha was also feeling very down. We ran blood work but in the state he was in we were not going to take any chances. We had no choice but to send him to an outside Veterinary hospital.
He was given immediate supportive care, and they took radiographs. What they were able to see is that Buddha had already had a previous surgery due to an obstruction and the scar tissue narrowed his abdomen. Buddha then needed additional surgery to remove the narrowed section of his intestines and required 3 more days of supportive care. The medical paperwork and bill will all be attached in the photos. Any amount will help us and contribute to the payment of his large hospital bill. Buddha thankfully is back with us and doing well. A huge thank you to all at Garden State Veterinary Hospital for saving our boy!!!!
