Homeless to homeowner

Hello. My name is Lakelli and I am fundraising for new furniture and household items for my new home. Until 3 years ago I was homeless. After losing custody of my sons in 2012 I gave up on living made some bad decisions fell into addiction trying to escape reality. Reality catches up with you fast, all of a sudden the lights are shut off the water shut off and I lost my apartment and had to stay with family and friends for a while. I didn't have any drive after losing my kids. I didn't care what happened to me so eventually others stop caring too. Before I knew it I was on my own and sleeping on the streets. It was easy to find myself in that place. The hard part was getting back on track. Ready to make a change I accomplished the same impossible I took on three jobs all while working hard to comply with CPS assignments. It took a lot of faith prayers and support. Today I have custody of all my children in a bright outlook on the future. My goal was to get back everything I lost I've done that and with the habitat for humanity program I'm gaining more. While my family has come a long way I am still in need for a safe unstable forever home. Where we now live at it is falling apart. There is no privacy the pipes leak the baby's been sick twice due to the mode. We are more than ready for quality affordable housing of our own and the stability their home ownership provides. I want the people who help build our house to know that they are helping a family have a forever home and to never be homeless again. Give you my children a home of our own is my biggest goal you can look a thousand years and you wouldn't find a more grateful family. When I got the call that I was accepted into the homeownership program I just cried and cried, my kids asked me if I was all right and I told them we're going to be just fine. With your donations you will be helping my family furnished are forever home. Being a stable and functioning adult for the last 3 years we still have many needs to fill.
