Support the Stomp Family

Hi, my name is Anne Ramler and I am Heather's cousin. I am creating this Go Fund Me page on behalf of her family to support Heather in her journey with ovarian cancer.

At the end of February, Heather and Craig Stomp (Ben, 14 & Camryn 10) received the devastating diagnosis of Heather’s advanced ovarian cancer.

Heather will start treatment at the Cancer Centre March 19th. Her treatment will include chemotherapy/surgery and then further rounds of chemotherapy as first steps to deal with this disease.

As their family tries to process this sudden change to their lives, they are also trying to make sense of how this treatment regimen will impact the more practical aspects of life.

As a well-respected teacher at St Augustine School in Humboldt, it breaks Heather’s heart to have to step away from her classroom and her Grade 3 students while she undergoes treatment.

Craig works at KMK Sales, and this development will likely involve interruptions to his work schedule. Craig has been involved in serving the Humboldt community for many years. He has been a member of the Humboldt & District Volunteer Fire Department for 25 years. He has sat on numerous boards including Saskatchewan Volunteer Firefighters Association, Humboldt Hammerheads Swim Club, Humboldt Golf Club, Humboldt Broncos, and the Jaycees.

Craig & Heather and family are members of St Augustine Parish. Heather is presently involved in the ministry of catechetics in Sacramental Preparation. Craig is a member of the Knights of Columbus.

As parents, Heather and Craig are hopeful that Ben and Camryn will continue to thrive with friends, school and in their respective extracurricular activities.

This sudden diagnosis will involve multiple trips to and from Saskatoon for treatments, increased costs for medications, meals, accommodations (when needed), and parking.

In these past weeks, people of goodwill from this generous and compassionate community have reached out asking ‘How can we help?’

When Heather and Craig were asked if this Go Fund Me Page could be set up, they were hesitant. After being part of and contributing to the life of the community in so many ways… and with the many people of this community asking how they can help….with overwhelming gratitude, they finally agreed.

Craig and Heather, it’s your time to lean on us, your community of family, friends, colleagues, and acquaintances.

Any gift of your donation is so very much appreciated. It will help take the financial pressure off so that they can focus on getting through this.
