Help Save Ernie's Life!

My Name is Ashlee and my partner Alex and I are the parents of a very fluffy and very loveable 10m old kitty named Ernie. Unfortunately life isn't always easy and we can't always read the cards that we get dealt. On Saturday the 12th of August, we noticed our boy wasn't himself. He hadn't eaten (when he is usually a food enthusiast), he was quite flat and had vomited several times. We took Ernie to the vet for an emergency consult, to be told that he had a foreign body lodged in his intestines causing a serve blockage. We were informed that this can be life threatening if not treated at an early stage. Ernie underwent an exploratory laparotomy (ex-lap) to remove whatever he may have eaten. During his ex-lap they opened him up only to find no trace of a foreign object... Our poor little kitten has been through so much over the last couple of days including a blood transfusion. We have now been told that Ernie is experiencing a liver "shunt" which in more or less words means his liver is not working how it should. The only treatment for this diagnosis, is surgery. If Ernie does not undergo such surgery, the outcome is fatal. Unfortunately Ernie's vet bills are excelling at a rapid rate and we would appreciate any help that we can get. Our little boy is our whole world and we know he has a lot of years left in him.Please help us get him better ❤️❤️❤️
