Jump Into Colour for St Clare Hospice
We are very pleased to announce that Harlow Gymnastics Club, along with St Clare Hospice, Hastingwood, have created this fundraising campaign on behalf of and in memory of our fantastic coach Keely.
Many will know that, sadly, Keely lost her battle with Cancer in April of this year.
Keely coached and helped so many children in our club for many years, and she truly was a fantastic coach, colleague and friend to many of us in the gymnastics world.
Running a project like this was something we discussed with Keely and her family after the incredible support and care they received from St Clare Hospice in hastignwood. From almost the first time they took Keely into their care, Keely and her Husband wanted to try and do something to help the hospice and raise money for a vital and much-needed charity.
This is precisely why this fundraising campaign has come to life, and after only one meeting with Keely's husband, the hospice team and Peter from Harlow Gymnastics Club, the project "JUMP INTO COLOUR" was created.
It has been designed mainly for children, as this has always been a focal point for Keely, and we hope many others will adopt this campaign and reach many schools and sports clubs in our area. But, most importantly, continue to raise money for the hospice now and in the future.
Harlow Gymnastics Club will be the first to complete this fundraising activity with over 800 members and their Coaches. We will complete the eight jumping challenges in set times and have great fun doing this to kick-start this campaign. The event will start from the 15th until the 20th of August.
Please show your support to the children by sponsoring them to participate in this event, whilst our focus remains on them having lots of fun taking part and raising as much money as we can to support St Clare Hospice.
