When Tragedy hits in Venezuela
Donation protected
When tragedy hits in Venezuela and you live thousands of miles away, what do you do? When you've left a crumbling country behind, to better support your family from abroad...and tragedy hits...
My friend Leslie moved to the United States in 2010, leaving her family behind, in Venezuela. On August 21, 2017, her family was taken away from her. Antonio Rodriguez (89), Maria de Rodriguez (80) (pictured here) and their daughter, Arelys Rodriguez (66) were brutally murdered in their home, while the assailants conducted a robbery. They were Leslie's grandparents and her mother, the people who loved her and raised her.
For the past few years, Leslie had been supporting her family to help them through the Venezuelan economic crisis. With these sudden news, she had to immediately travel to Venezuela, to say her goodbyes and sort out her family's affairs.
Please help my dearest friend Leslie cover the expenses of her trip to Venezuela and cover the costs of the memorial services.
For those that do not know me, my name is Deyanira Campbell. I am also from Venezuela but just like Leslie, I live in the United States. I have had the pleasure to know Leslie and be her close friend for the past 18 years. Any funds collected from this campaign will be deposited to the bank account of Leslie's choosing, as soon as they become available for withdrawal. I will also be passing any and all of your messages of support to her, once she is able to have a moment to herself. If you have any questions regarding the use of these funds, please do not hesitate to contact me directly.
Thank you for all your support!
