Aiden's Intestine Surgery

Donation protected
After 36 hours of no sleep yesterday we'd finally gotten the call that Aiden was out of surgery and doing well!!!

A little over a week ago Aiden must've gotten extremely anxious because we were away from home for the majority of two days in a row. While hidden away under our bed he had secretly chewed into some carpet, swallowing 3ft of thin plastic... Over a short few days it caused his intestines to accordion together, preventing anything from passing in or out. If we'd waited one more day to bring him in then the surgeon said there would've been much more serious repercussions. His intestines and pancreas are bruised and inflamed, but aside from the irritation, they're looking healthy. They had to make a couple incisions to remove the blockage, but so far he seems to be in the clear! Another day or two of recovery there and we can bring him home (the carpet is being removed today.....).

Because of the lack of major complications, I'm hoping this means that the surgery comes out to be on the lower end cost wise, which was just about $10,000. To everyone who has donated so far, truly from the bottom of my heart I cannot thank you enough. I'm eternally grateful for whatever's been given. Every dollar makes this an easier debt to live with. The surgery was going to happen no matter what, and I would've sold every single thing I own to make it possible, but between care credit and scratch pay we were able to "pay" the deposit so he could actually undergo the surgery. I'll share it this one last time because I'm already so floored with how many people have already donated, but again every dollar helps the weight of it.

Truly, thank you all so much

---ORIGINAL POST---
I'm making this directly after getting news at 12:30am of potentially needing to drive our dog Aiden multiple hours away for surgery to remove a linear blockage in his intestines and hopefully save him from sepsis too. He diserves the world. He's my everything, and I have to come to terms with the fact that there's a non-zero chance that he doesn't make it.
My goal is $8,000 because I have $8000 available right now on my Care Credit, and the high end of surgery was estimated around $15,000 because of the type that it is. I'll do whatever I need, literally anything helps. He's supposed to turn 9 years old in four days (as of writing this) and I want him to see it. He still has so much god damn life to live. Please, I actually beg of you to help in anyway you can. Spread the word or give a dollar.

While typing this we were updated at 12:50am that there's a hospital 4 hours away that can take him in immediately, so we're headed to pick him up and leave for there immediately.
