STOPPING CHILD ABUSE

Hi, I'm Dr. George Hsu, and I’m a Pediatric Emergency Medicine Physician and
University Professor here in Georgia.

As someone who has spent years treating young children, including 2 of my own,
you can probably guess that the topic of child safety is something near and dear
to my heart.  But did you know… every day… thousands of children across the
country and around the world suffer from abuse … especially by the people who
are supposed to take care of them.

I know that child abuse is a subject none of us want to talk about,  which is one of
the reasons why it continues to happen.

Because we remain silent anymore!

But don’t click away yet… Because whether we wish to acknowledge it or not, The numbers for child abuse are staggering and will keep happening if we remain
silent.

The fact is 1 in 7 children have experienced abuse in the past year.  But the
problem goes much deeper.  Every day, an estimated 5 children per day die as a result of inflicted abuse!  That’s 5 children each and every day!

But as healthcare providers, we can do better!  Many studies suggest early identification is one of the keys to reducing the number of cases of child abuse….

But unfortunately, according to some studies,  20-30% of the cases of an initial
encounter of child abuse, that come into the ER, are missed…

Imagine how many more children could be saved if we would have had a better
way of detecting the abuse or knowing before hand….

One of the biggest challenge’s doctors experience, is not having a unified system where information can be sent from hospital to hospital…

It’s time for us to make a change.  This is why we are developing i-Guardian.

i-Guardian is a team of medical/technical/business professionals  who are
committed to using our extensive knowledge and experience in the Life Sciences
Industry to provide innovative solutions to the problem of Early Identification
and  Intervention in relation to child abuse cases. We firmly believe that
increased monitoring and tracking will improve communications and allow the
relevant agencies and professionals to provide a greater level of care & support.

 We aim to use our Advanced Digital Ledger Technology platform to fulfill this
task. This new innovation in technology will be deployed to introduce a seamless
integration between hospitals, law enforcement and other government systems.   Our platform will provide secure and direct access to patient data to ensure that
the correct agencies have the information in a timely manner, and will potentially assist in preventing future cases.
