SentOx Oxygen Concentrator Aid
Donation protected
Our aim is to SAVE ONE MILLION LIVES. We have embarked on a philanthropic project to supply accessible, low-cost oxygen machines to the developing world. We have developed an oxygen concentrator called SentOx, an oxygen machine in a briefcase. You now have the opportunity to help have it delivered to where it’s needed most. A donation of just $5 will likely save a single life.
In 2020 over 2 million people died of COVID 19 and other curable respiratory diseases. Over 600,000 children died of childhood pneumonia alone in 2019. The critical treatment required for these diseases is oxygen therapy, and because of Covid-19, there is a worldwide shortage, particularly in the developing countries. In countries such as India, Indonesia and South Africa, health systems are under huge stress and sufficient medical treatment is often not accessible.
In a massive philanthropic effort, the passionate team here at Sentient created a low cost, hand-portable oxygen machine called SentOx, an oxygen machine in a briefcase. SentOx meets standards set out by the World Health Organisation for Oxygen Concentrators and each machine will potentially save over 100 lives. It is rugged and hand-portable, ideal for disaster management and the challenging medical environments of the developing world.
Over the last 8 months, we have fine-tuned the design and have now built the first production units. This progress is great, but we aim to do better! In order to reach our goal of saving one million lives, we need to deploy over 7,400 SentOx machines to the developing world over the next 18 months. You can be a partner in helping us save these lives.
This is your opportunity to help many of the over two billion people in the developing world survive Covid-19. Even a donation as small as $5 will likely save a life. Donating $800 for a whole SentOx machine will likely save over 130 lives. That’s about $5 per life.
How many lives would you choose to save at that price?
