For Bella Fontenelle’s Family

Please excuse the length of this, but I am going to address a few concerns.

The two similar campaigns are because we originally started a go fund me without our names associated, with a one sentence description, and a low goal amount. We didn’t want any credit, didn’t want to elaborate on this tragedy, and didn’t want to put a dollar figure on grief. People thought it was a fake account. So, we added our names, told a little more about why and who it was for, and increased the dollar amount. This edit inadvertently created a second GoFundMe that we can’t figure out how to join with the other one. Any help fixing this would be appreciated, but they are both real and both go to the family of Bella.

Our motives for doing this are strictly to help a friend in need and be a man for others. I have known Bella’s father for nearly 30 years, since we started high school, and my wife has known him for more than 20 years. After this horrific tragedy, we discussed with some other long time friends how we could help. This seemed to be the most reputable way to show our support and love for him and his family.

Although we don’t have children at St. Matthew the Apostle, we are also part of the parish and active in the community.

The funds from this campaign will go directly to our friend, Bella’s father. He and his family will use them for any number of things to do with funeral arrangements, continuing to care for Bella’s sister, and other expenses arising from this unthinkable situation. I can’t believe I even have to say this, but the accused perpetrator of this heinous crime will NEVER benefit from this GoFundMe in any way.

Although I personally have nothing to do with the GoFundMe where Bella is pictured as Princess Jasmine, it appears to have been started by her aunt, benefiting Bella’s mother, and to also be legitimate. I would encourage any donations to support any family member of Bella. Give wherever you feel comfortable.
