Help Muhannad and his family survive the genocide
Donation protected
My name is Addison Lorens, and I am helping Muhannad Jalhoum in Gaza with fundraising. I reached out after he asked for help. Muhannad and his family of seven need to leave Gaza to safety, and they also rely on donations to survive their daily lives while displaced. Please read Muhannad’s story as he tells it:
Hi, I’m Muhannad. I’m the eldest brother in my family, I’m 21 years old, and I’m trying to keep my family together during these really tough times. We’ve been through a lot. We lost our home, our dreams, and our memories in the war. It was devastating for all of us. We had to move a lot just to find some safety from the north of Gaza to Rafah, then to the west, and finally to the center. We lived in a tent, trying to make the most of the difficult situation. I hope to be able to complete my studies, travel abroad, and one day rebuild my family’s destroyed home. The family home was completely demolished in October 2023. We were inside it when it was bombed, but we managed to get out
My mom has diabetes, which is hard to live with in our circumstances.
I was studying computer engineering, but that was put on hold when everything fell apart. Now, my main focus is making sure my family has enough food and water and stays healthy. But it’s hard. Everything is expensive, and even the basics are hard to afford.
We are asking for your help to get back on our feet, and to be able to evacuate. Your support means so much to us – it can help us afford the things we need to survive and maybe give me the opportunity to go back to school one day. With your help, we can turn this tragedy into a story of hope and resilience. Thank you for considering supporting us on this journey.
