Help Single Mom Choriocarcinoma
Hello my name is Lucy. I am a single mom and anthropology student at Santa Ana College; I have been diagnosed with a rare type of pregnancy cancer. I have gestational trophoblastic disease (GTD)-choriocarcinoma of the placenta which is a very rare type cancer. I found out I was pregnant on Aug. 10th, and by Aug. 19th I was hospitalized for hemorrhaging. I had a D&C, lost the baby, and found out it was a molar-pregnancy. Days later labs confirmed the molar pregnancy tumour was malignant and that I do have cancer. I am currently doing chemotherapy (Methotrexate) 1x per week, and am on 5th dose. I am currently doing chemotherapy (Methotrexate) 1x per week, and am on 5th dose. I have appointments twice a week that will go on for about a year, and gas and medical expenses are really hard to keep up with. Chemotherapy drains all my energy and I need some caregiving. Every penny donated would be used for my travel, medical, and caregiving expenses.
