Help Wendy with her Medical Bills

 

 

My mom Wendy and stepdad Patrick Bernard have been living out in Klamath Falls OR for quite a few years. Pat is a disabled veteran and has been unable to work. My mom has made it her mission to be beside Pat throughout everything that he is going through. While Pat has military health insurance, because of the nature of their fixed income my mom has not been insured for a long time. My mom and Pat have always paid for my mom's health care out of pocket. My mom has been able to avoid any kind of huge medical procedures until this year. She was admitted via the ER on Monday night for some very serious medical issues. Because of the nature of the illness she was helicoptered to Portland OR and admitted to the ICU.

 

My mom would have a heart attack if she knew what I was doing but the life flight alone is going to cost them no less than 25k dollars. Pat has been unable to join my mom in Portland because of the weather and expenses that would go with it. Pat has been trying to handle all the household and medical questions and forms that have to be filled out remotley. He is working with the hospitals to get some assistance with the vast number of bills that will be coming their way as my mom has now been in the ICU in Portland for 5 days already and we are unsure how long they will be keeping her. The hospital has said they will be able to work with them on all those bills but at this time the life flight is not something that they can forgive or discount.

I would like to gift my mom and stepdad with some help for the holidays so that my mom can recover without the added stress of worrying about these bills.
