Help the twins' project and their family in Gaza

Donation protected
We are twins, Ghada and Sarah. We came into life together, at the same moment. We used to love the “chaos of colors” when we were kids, as “Mama” says.

We have not forgotten the attempts at drawing that were on the wall of our room when we were four years old. Those were our first steps in our artistic journey, and the first evidence of the existence of the talent that our mother picked up and developed by taking us to artistic courses until we became what we are now.

Years ago, we opened our artistic project (Twins Art) in the hope that it would be the place where our works could see the light, and that it would be our main source of income in light of the difficult circumstances we live in in the Gaza Strip.

It was the first artistic project specialized in selling decorative paintings painted in oil colors in a modern and sophisticated style and with new innovative ideas.

Despite all the difficulties we faced, and despite society's frustration and difficult economic conditions, we ignored all these obstacles and exerted all our efforts to create new art with a modern character.

We believed that our practice of art would add results even if the world did not know us. We created new art with modern ideas that added new touches to art. Therefore, we isolated ourselves from the outside world and began to imbibe the world of decoration according to the rule (fill before you give). We renewed the spirit in the world of art in the Gaza Strip, and many began requesting our work to decorate the salons of their homes with it.

Our family consists of (12) members, including (four) children, who currently live in tents distributed between the city of Deir al-Balah in the central Gaza Strip and the city of Rafah in the far south. For those who do not know what life is like in the camp, the number of tents is very large, and therefore you are in a crowded place all the time. The space of each tent is very narrow and can barely accommodate a family, and the weather at night is extremely cold.

My family does not have the minimum necessities of life, such as food, clothing, drink, and shelter, and if they want to buy something, it is with great difficulty because everything is expensive.

I will use the money I will get through this campaign to

  • Evacuating my family to a safe place. As you know, the cost of evacuating each person to Egypt varies from time to time, and sometimes reaches (10) thousand dollars.

  •   Helping rent a house for my family and securing rent payments in addition to covering the cost of daily living.

  •  Rebuilding the artistic project of my sister Sarah and me.

We were accustomed to the coming of wars in Gaza, so the feeling of loss was always present and expected, but this cruel war or “genocide” came and destroyed our home, and we lost all the artistic paintings that we produced in the project and depleted us financially over the past years.

We hope, through this campaign, to compensate for what we lost and prepare for the next difficult stage of securing
what our family has lost, which is currently under genocide in Gaza, and then work on this artistic project again.

The family we belong
to. Where only these memories remain, but in photos.

Here is my home. I’ve lived there most years of my life I got used to it till it became part of me and I’m part of it . It witnessed my very first steps in drawing. I brought back all those memories with sadness after israel turned the memories into ashes.
