Support Ansa Kurian's Kidney Transplant

Dear Friends, This is an urgent help request for Ansa Kurian (age 22) from Kottayam, Kerala, who has been diagnosed with decompensated chronic kidney disease stage 5 and has been on dialysis for the past 4 months. Currently, she is in urgent need of a kidney transplant and her father will donate the kidney for her. All the related crossmatch tests have been completed with positive results.

Ansa's treatment is currently done at Caritas Hospital, Thellakom, Kottayam, Kerala.

Her kidney transplant procedure is estimated to cost around Rs 15 lakhs ( $ 18,000) which includes surgery, medicine, and other hospital/post-surgery expenses. The hospital has suggested doing the transplantation process as early as possible as her condition is getting worse day by day. Her neighbors and family have collected close to Rs 3 lakhs ( around $4000) which is hardly enough for her sustained treatment and upcoming expenses.

Her father works as a daily wager, the sole bread winner for the family. Ansa was working as a radiographer but since she is undergoing treatment, she cannot work now. Ansa's father is currently struggling to find any financing for her treatment and considering the situation, her family is seeking our help. We are currently looking at all funding options to support the family for the treatment, the needed surgery, and the post-surgery care.
