Help Charlotte's Medical Care in the Neonatal ICU

Jacqueline Mary Bates passed away suddenly on February 14th, bringing a beautiful baby Charlotte Christine Bates into the world 3 months premature and into the loving care of husband Kevin Bates.
Jacquie and Kevin have always been fierce fighters for justice; first to rise to support friends and strangers in need, touching countless lives. It's time for us to return that gift to them.
Please help raise money for Jacquie's family: costs associated with Charlotte's ongoing hospital bills in the neonatal ICU, funeral costs, and time that Kevin needs to take off.
Neonatal care in the ICU is tremendously expensive, and complications of this difficult health time may result in lifelong costs. We are attempting to raise $10,000 simply to offset some of these early costs.
These funds raised in memory of Jacquie will go to support Kevin and his daughter in this time of need.

Northwest Highway, Arlington Heights where the Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, February 19 at 11:00 AM. Interment will be private.

Update from Kevin on 2/18:
Final Update: Charlottes condition had worsened. She had a brain hemorrhage affecting both halves of her brain, and the doctors were concerned both her liver and kidneys would fail suddenly. So I made the decision to spend time making memories with her, and then removing her from assisted breathing. She passed peacefully and painlessly in my arms last night. Her final minutes she was surrounded by family, taught the joy of reading and music that Jac was looking forward to sharing with her, and I was able to hold her and see her face for the first time.
This is so sudden and so tragic I still can't believe it is real. If you have friends or loved ones you haven't seen recently, tell them you love them.
