Hello Friends and Family
On Christmas morning at 6am my sister and her family (The Garcia Family) woke up to a fire in there home. The irobot woke them up as it was having trouble starting and that is when they notice the smell of smoke. The whole family was able to evacuate safely.
The family is currently displaced now and none of their personal belongings have been recovered. They are currently waiting for the claims adjuster to come and let them know how to proceed. They have been told they will not be able to go back to there home till they have rebuilt, which at this time we have no idea how long that will be.
My sister is not one to ask for help and usually finds a way to get through whatever life throws her way. My hope now is to help lift the financial burden that they will face while they navigate through their rebuild. I have set a goal of $3,000 to help offset some of the expenses they will incur and to help meet their deductible so that there is no delay in getting them back home as soon as possible.
Victims of fires face tremendous emotional stress and financial costs, and we hope to alleviate some of the stress that they will face as they begin to rebuild. All your donations will go directly to April, Hector and the 3 kids
