Dear Fellow Citizens
I got married in 2013 in . I have two children small of age 7 and 6 years (boy and girl) respectively.
we came to the united states in the year of 2017 as dependants of my Husband .The relationship became toxic after a point as he was verbally and physically abusive, despite the struggle, i amanged to continue the life with him in the US just for the kids and their wellbeing. For brief period of one month, i had to move to home country due to a family emergency, he disconnected all my contacts with the kids and him and i had no clue about their whereabouts for almost 2 weeks , After a lot of tracing and reaching came to know that he and the kids were in india.
Though trying to locate my kids itself was a humongous task, the panic and trauma I had to go through was much more .His silence and intentions behind keeping the children away from me sounded like real trouble waiting. I immediately returned to the US and he somehow managed to put a brave face with reasons hard believe.
I tried to take possession of the kid's passport (for obvious reasons) but he did not give it . The abuse started all over again when questioned about the passport and it turned into extreme physical violence and harassment.Everything became uglier when he was pushing and knocking me down with the witnessing kids wailing for frantic help. I was forced to call 911 for help in that situation as he was extremely violent .The restraining order was in force and we were soon moved into shelter support as an act of rescue .
It's been three months now, kids and we are still trying to gather the strength and courage to accept the situation of life we are in and move forward with dignity. But the struggle is real, alone fighting legal battles in this land with immigration challenges, drained finances and children to nourish and care.
Moving back to India is also questionable with life threats from his family back home. In between all this struggle I have to feed, educate and care for my two children, where left with no means of financial resources. Due to our dependent immigration status I do not qualify for any kind public benefits or a work permit. Shelter life is emotionally breaking the children while we are at asylum in this land, and we seek financial help from our fellow indians.
This help could create positive differences in my children's lives and move forward from where we are.
I am raising this fund for survival that includes
Rental , medical bills and food for a year until I get my work eligibility documents .
NOTE : As I am domestic violence victim I am not able to disclose my identities, however anyone can reach out to me through an email if you need any other informations which could enable you to help me . Please help as this is the last resort to handle my current situation until I can legally stand up for me and my children.
